Uncle Tommy, Villiers-Plouich, France

It’s Remembrance Day here in Canada, as well as in the other Commonwealth nations. I was glad, on my last two trips, to be able to visit a number of war cemeteries in Europe and pay my respects to the dead from multiple conflicts. This one meant a little more; I trekked out to a tiny farming village in France to spend time with my dad’s great uncle, killed just two months before the end of WWI.
