Last night stretched into 5am this morning, and I can’t say that waking up today gave me any more hope than did the results last night. Rather than think any more about the United States, I’m going to think back to the fall of the Berlin Wall, which happened on this day in 1989. Germany has become the beacon for the world lately. With all the echoes of 1933 currently on our screens, it’s nice to know that unity is achieved by tearing down walls and not building them. (Prisma filtered with "We Can Do It!" Which is not my favourite filter but felt like a spark of encouragement on this dark day!
