Description
Paris has well known graffiti artists whose work can be found all over the city. This artist, Yop!75, typically draws a Maurice-Chevalier type character in a boater hat, whistling with his eyes closed. I found this unique, drunken flirt graf piece gracing a municipal corkboard, and couldn’t resist snapping a picture. It doesn’t take much to fill my heart with love for Paris.
This listing is for one solid pine wood photo block typically described as 6×6″, though the milled size puts it closer to 5.5″. It is just shy of 1″ deep. The toner print is applied and revealed by hand, and is drawn from my personal photography, taken during a 2014 trip to Paris. I have highlighted the heart with gold leaf paint, and sealed the surface with a beeswax and olive oil finish. The back of the piece is titled, signed and dated in ink. A signed and numbered certificate of authenticity will be sent along with the purchased piece. You may receive a different print to the one shown in this listing’s photographs.
The block is sold without any hanging hardware. I recommend mounting it with Command Strips, or standing it upright on a desk, shelf or mantelpiece – it will stand on any flat surface. Note that the wood will deepen into a honey colour with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (I think this makes the wood look nicer!)
