Amongst friends who’ve visited Paris, this is one of my most popular pieces. While I avoid the Metro subway system as often as I can*, I respect that it’s a functioning, useful, and inexpensive way to jet around the city quickly. The fact that there’s a stop every few hundred metres is handy, too; if you regret your decision to walk your penance is fleeting.
*This is as much for aesthetic reasons as practical ones – if I’m to be stifled without air conditioning, I might as well do so while walking through the architectural wonderland above.
This listing is for one solid pine wood photo block typically described as 4×4, though the milled size puts it closer to 3.5 inches square. It is just shy of 1 inch deep. The toner print is applied and revealed by hand, and is drawn from my personal photography. The back of the piece is titled, signed and dated in ink. You will receive the print shown in this listing’s photographs.
The block is sold without any hanging hardware. I recommend mounting it with Command Strips, or standing it upright on a desk, shelf or mantelpiece – it will stand on any flat surface. Note that the wood will deepen into a honey colour with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (I think this makes the wood look nicer!)
