Description
These beautifully ornate tiles are found on the floor of Glasgow Cathedral’s sacristy. They are a riot of colour in person, but I loved the way they look when reduced to monochrome, and doubly so when finished in shiny gold foil.
This listing is for four solid pine wood photo blocks typically described as 4×4 inches, though the milled size puts them each closer to 3.5 inches square. Each block is just shy of 1 inch deep. The foil print is applied to cardstock and then adhered to the wood block, before being sealed with a simple, waterproof sealant.
The photos are drawn from my personal photography. The back of each piece is titled, signed and dated in ink. Note that, due to the foil application, every block is unique. You may receive different prints to the one shown in this listing’s photographs.
The blocks are sold without any hanging hardware. I recommend mounting them with Command Strips, or standing them upright on a desk, shelf or mantelpiece – they will stand on any flat surface.
