The Jeanie Johnston is a floating museum in Dublin’s harbour. It’s a reminder of the masses of Irish who abandoned their homeland to sail away from the Famine. I love the imagery of rigging; the sails carry them off but the lines and knots are a reminder of the ties that bind them to Ireland.
