One of my favourite pics of one of my least favourite spots in Paris: this is a lamppost near the top of the Champs Élysées, that overwide avenue of stores also found in every mall or high street in the western world. And yet there are lineups of tourists waiting outside the doors, waiting to try on the bland sweatshop-made clothing. I took my snap then legged it back into Paris’ far more alluring maze of streets.
