One of my favourite photos from my 2007 trip is this swirling moon jellyfish from the Cousteau Institute in Monte Carlo. It’s a wonderful mix of old and new, with a traditional 1800s museum on the top floor that features hundreds of dead animals in jars or mounted as skeletons. In the basement, though, is a small marine zoo of living, moving water dwellers. It’s beautifully done and the aquariums are spectacular. Well worth a visit.
